This tour, led by a local expert professional guide, is tailored for the lovers of Italian Art. It consists in the exploration of one of the most fascinating art galleries in the country, with its sculptures, paintings, antique mosaics, frescoes and its landscape gardens, with spectacular views on Rome.

The most important nucleus of the sculptures and paintings in the Borghese Gallery dates back to the collecting of Cardinal Scipione (1579-1633), son of Ortensia Borghese, sister of Pope Paolo V.

Inside the Gallery, we will see masterpieces of Italian artists from the XVth to XVIIth centuries such as Antonello da Messina, Giovanni Bellini, Tiziano, Correggio, Caravaggio, Raffaello and the sculptures of Bernini and Canova. It is a visit about the stories, techniques behind the paintings and sculptures of Italian Art.

Tour includes a walking tour of the Villa Borghese Gardens.

  • 2-hour guided tour of the Gallery visiting: Caravaggio's Room; "Apollo and Daphne" and "David" by Bernini; The Deposition" and "Lady with a Unicorn" by Raphael; "Pauline Bonaparte" by Canova; "The Deposition" by Rubens; "Madonna and Child" by Perugino and many more.
  • Guided tour of Villa Borghese Gardens (1 hour): Casino dell'Uccelliera, Fontana dei Puppazzi, Piazza di Siena, Tempietto di Diana, Obelisco di Antonio and stunning view over Piazza del Popolo.
