A high, clear morning on the Pirin slopes puts you at the lip of the Dzhamdjiev edge—an exposed granite knife that narrows to a few boot-lengths of balance. Wind chisels at your jacket and the ridge dares you forward; below, steep bowls and glacial cirques fall away in clean, gray cliffs. The approach threads alpine meadows that give way to talus and steep slabs until the route becomes a committed mix of scrambling and short roped pitches.
