You push through a narrow alley in Vidigal and the neighborhood hum tightens around you—laundry lines, painted houses, the cadence of conversations—before the houses give way to a steep staircase that points straight up toward Dois Irmãos. The air opens, and the city folds out: Ipanema’s shoreline, the sweep of Leblon, and São Conrado stretched beneath the twin peaks.
