You begin at the mouth of a sun-washed canyon, Mediterranean scrub scenting the air and the Genal River daring you from the valley floor. The climb is compact — a steep fifty to a hundred metres of limestone, fixed rungs and cables guiding a deliberate ascent — and finishes at a pair of short K2-grade suspension bridges that swing slightly when crossed, opening a new angle on the Guadiaro River valley below.
