You arrive at Piazza San Marco as the morning light catches the mosaics—children pointing at gold tiles while the canal whispers the day awake. This private 2.5-hour family tour threads through Venice’s heart: a quick stop outside St. Mark’s Basilica, a guided walk past the Bridge of Sighs, time inside the Doge’s Palace, and a mellow gondola ride that lets the city slow down around you.

Meet in Piazza San Marco; it’s accessible by vaporetto (water bus) or water taxi—check local schedules for your arrival stop.
Venice rose from a lagoon community into a maritime republic; St. Mark’s and the Doge’s Palace showcase its religious authority and mercantile wealth from the Middle Ages onward.
Venice’s architecture and the lagoon are vulnerable to overtourism and rising tides—avoid feeding birds, use licensed services, and follow guide instructions to reduce wear on historic sites.
