Informazioni

Our semi private tour will be on board of a deluxe minivan with an english speaking driver, air conditioner and free water. The Val d'Orcia has been recognized as a world heritage of Unesco since 2004 such as was source of inspiration for many Renaissance painters. There you will be surrounded by impressive views, art, culture, amazing wine and delicious food!

The first stop will be in a great winery in Montalcino... The winery is owned by a local family and, talking with them, you will not have the feeling to visit their work place but their home instead!...You will know everything about Brunello di Montalcino: the vineyard techniques , the wine making process, its ageing and, off course, how to appreciate it by drinking different vintages!

After the tasting, you'll have a few minutes stop at the main square of the village of Montalcino, where you can enjoy the castle, the little street or just the amazing views from the panoramic terraces.

After the wine tasting we will go to Pienza, just few kilometers away. Arrived to Pienza, a Papal village famous for its Pecorino cheese, you will have the chance to enjoy a gourmet lunch in an ex convent of the XV century. An amazing 3 courses meal wich include wine and water will be served in a colourful garden with a stunning view of the Val d'Orcia! (available April to October only, in winter season will be in a restaurant). Following the lunch you will have free time to discover the lovely town of Pienza where you can appreciate the historic centre, enjoy the view points and visit the famous cheese shops!

Then we will keep going to Montepulciano, our last stop. Montepulciano is a quintessential tuscan medieval village vaunting green landscapes marked by rolling hills and castle walls. Situated on a limestone hill 2000 feet above the sea level it's famous worldwide for its "Vino Nobile" that you will be able to try during your free time. There we will be guided through an historical cellar called "The underground city" which is located downstairs of a local wine shop. At the exit from the underground city you will be greeted by a tasting of wine and other food specialities. Before leaving we will make sure you have enough time to visit the main square ,placed on the top of the town, from where you can take the last pictures!

At that point our tour will end and we will be back to Florence in full comfort around 6 pm.
