You pull up to the edge of the Nellis sand sea and the desert opens like a living playground — wind-sculpted ridges, pockets of compacted track, and the distant glassline of the Las Vegas Strip sitting low on the horizon. Engines rumble, helmets click, and the guide walks through vehicle checks before the convoy threads across rippled dunes with bursts of speed and controlled climbs that lift you into open sky.

No special fitness required beyond the ability to climb into a UTV and handle short bumps; riders with balance or back issues should opt out.
Most guided tours provide options for both driver and passenger; confirm at booking — some operators require a driver to meet age/height/weight limits.
Meet at the Nellis Dunes Off‑Highway Vehicle Recreation area sign, typically with clear directions included in your booking confirmation.
Operators usually set a minimum age (often 12) and weight/height requirements for safety restraints — check booking details before arrival.
Tours may be canceled for high winds, electrical storms, or unsafe dune conditions; check cancellation policies and expected weather beforehand.
