5 Day Course

This course includes: US Sailing Basic Cruising, Bareboat Cruising, and Windworks Navigation and Piloting, all on one of our larger cruising vessels. Have fun while learning in an actual hands on environment. At the end of this trip you will be a certified US Sailing Bare Boat skipper. The 5 day, 4 night, course will follow the same curriculum as separate courses in less time, as you will be learning day and night. During each day you'll practice sailing and navigating; at night you'll spend time in different harbors or at anchor; each class is your very own sailing adventure.

We will have a 3 hour classroom intro to Navigation and Piloting on the Thursday night prior from 6pm-9pm.

Please study prior to boarding, by picking up the textbooks at WWSC office, or if you are out-of-town you can request we mail the books to you by emailing support@windworkssailing.com. IT IS REQUIRED THAT STUDENTS STUDY THEIR US SAILING BASIC CRUISING AND BAREBOAT BOOKS PRIOR TO BOARDING THE BOAT. Feel free to take notes in your books for questions with your US Sailing Instructor.

Cruising to Bareboat students are eligible to receive a 50% discount if they additionally want to take Navigation and Piloting in our classroom (4 part series).

Prerequisite: US Sailing Basic Keelboat OR American Sailing Association 101, and 3 additional sails on a small keelboat.
