Zwischen Hamburger Straße und Osterbekkanal erkunden wir die dichten Baustrukturen eines Arbeiterstadtteils aus der Gründerzeit und die Stadtgestaltung der 1950er Jahre. Einige Gebäude aus den letzten Jahren und die Cafés, Restaurants und Geschäfte weisen auf gesellschaftliche Veränderungen und Gentrifizierungstendenzen hin. Zudem zeigt sich ein Stadtteil mit einem dichten Baumbestand und einigen Grünflächen.

Auf dem Rundgang begegnen uns unter anderem die Piano Suites, das Bartholomäusbad und ein Haus, in dem der „Lord von Barmbeck“ verkehrte. Am Ende gelangen wir zum ehemaligen Dorfplatz sowie auf das frühere Industrieareal um das Museum für Arbeit.
