Descripción e itinerario
En esta visita guiada por La Barceloneta descubriremos el barrio con una perspectiva diferente. En 1714 el rey Felipe V había ocupado Barcelona. Tras destruir el barrio de La Ribera decide realojar fuera de las murallas a muchos vecinos sin hogar. En 1753 se funda La Barceloneta. Barrio originalmente de pescadores que en el siglo XIX recibe a la industria metalúrgica y con ellos muchos obreros. Fábricas como La Maquinista o La Catalana de Gas se expandieron por la Barceloneta. Explicaremos una gran revuelta llamada Las Bullangas que terminó con la quema de muchos conventos de Barcelona en el siglo XIX.
A partir de los Juegos Olímpicos La Barceloneta se integrará a la ciudad tras su aislamiento. La industria turística se expande disolviendo el tejido vecinal. Ofreceremos un enfoque de urbanismo muy completo para entender este fuerte desequilibrio. Explicaremos la historia de L´Escola del Mar, escuela pública, fundada en 1922 con pedagogía Montesori. El 7 de enero de 1938 la aviación fascista bombardea la escuela. En 2018 Mariano Pesin consiguió que el Ayuntamiento de Barcelona le rindiera un merecido homenaje a L´Escola del Mar.
El objetivo de la ruta es que las personas tengan un criterio formado sobre La Barceloneta.

Recorreremos las calles del barrio, también: Casa de Barceloneta 1761, Los Almacenes Portuarios (Museo de historia de Catalunya) Homenaje a la Escola del Mar, La Cooperativa la Fraternitat (Hoy biblioteca) y muchos mas.
