For those with only 1 day in Edinburgh, discover all the highlights of the city in a day! Start in the Old Town and discover its history and key monuments (St Giles cathedral, National Museum, Greyfriars graveyard, Royal Mile, and more). Enjoy lunch in a local pub where you’ll try traditional scottish food during a mini food tour. In the afternoon discover Edinburgh’s Georgian New Town and head towards Stockbridge and the Dean Village, with a tea break in the middle of course!
We recommend to do this day on Saturday or Sunday, market days in Edinburgh!
Please let us know if you have walking difficulties or are disabled. Edinburgh is a city built on hills but we will try to adapt our itinerary for you. We can also take breaks along the way in cosy local cafés/pubs, but bear in mind that this is a long walk all day, so bring comfortable shoes.
