About the tour

This option is highly recommended for those who are not interested in tours and just want to spend fun time being driven in a Trabant. This is an UNGUIDED ride. You will be able to pick up the car at heart of Budapest for 2 or 3 hours - depend on your booking . This enable you to take an adventurous ride and explore the city yourself with the 2-stroke Trabant. If you are a solo traveler and enjoys seeing the city alone then this package should be added to your list. Drive through Budapest in the official car of the DDR! Squeeze yourself behind the wheel of a Trabant of your choice and putter around the capital.

GOOD TO KNOW

  • Max. 3 adults per Trabi - 4 adults must book 2 Trabants.

  • Children/ youngster until the age of 17 years are for free if they sit together in a Trabant with their adult accompanying person.

  • You will drive the 2-stroke Trabant by your self, so do not forget to bring your ID and valid drive licence with you.

  • 30.000 HUF or 100€ deposit is needed - we refund it when the car arrives back in safe. These are all manual gear-box cars. It has 3 pedals - one of them is the clutch. Be careful, as there are NO power steering and power brake in Trabants.

  • No alcohol consumption is allowed for drivers in Hungary!
