If you are not looking for the thrill of the rapids, but still want to experience the James River, then the Upper James rafting trip is a great option.
We will meet you at our shop on 1511 Brook Rd., Richmond, VA 23220 where you will get outfitted with helmets, PFDs, and paddles before receiving a safety briefing from the trip leader.
As you tackle Class I-II rapids, including Pony Pasture, Choo Choo, and Mitchell’s Gut, you’ll enjoy beautiful scenery and wildlife. For non-paddlers, we can provide a rower so you can relax and take in the calming views of the James River.
Halfway down we will stop on a deserted island in the middle of James to relax and sightsee. After the trip, we will bring you back to Forest Hill Park.
