Prairie Patch Farm is a Cedar Rapids, Iowa–based farm specializing in interactive llama experiences for events, education, and outdoor recreation. The business offers a range of on-site and off-site programs, including Llamas At Your Event, private and public Llama Hikes, Llama-Gram surprise visits, Educational & Therapeutic Visits, Llama Yoga with Breathing Room Yoga led by Sarah Driscoll, Selfies & Snuggles Farm Visits, and seasonal celebrations such as LLAMAWEEN and LLAMABOO Haunted Paint Night & Bonfire.
The farm’s programming includes barn-based introductions where guests learn about llama care, behavior, and history before hands-on interaction or trail time. Private group hikes take place on a nearby private preserve and typically run 90 minutes with a 20-minute barn orientation; public group hikes follow the same structure and are recommended for ages 10 and up. Visit options range from short 15-minute Llama-Grams to 90-minute hikes and 50-minute Selfies & Snuggles sessions.
Prairie Patch Farm incorporates other barn animals such as goats and pigs into select experiences (notably during Llama Yoga meet-and-greets). Llama-Gram visits can be customized with accessories like bow ties and party hats for photos. Booking choices include private events, school or community visits for educational outreach, and public event tickets. Handlers provide orientation and supervised interactions to support guest safety and animal welfare. Detailed descriptions, availability, and booking instructions are listed on the farm’s event pages and The Adventure Collective feature.
