This is a great family activity: a fabulous memory maker for kids of all ages ( age 4 and above) and educational experience in one! Perfect for homeschooling groups as well!
Our tour includes stories, demonstrations & guidance from a professional tour guide, all the equipment needed for your exploration AND an opportunity to turn your find into a necklace to wear home! Did we mention lunch is included also? Well it is and it's kid-friendly!
Beachwear or other suitable attire. Please keep in mind you will be walking on shells at times, may get wet, will be walking in Venice and going into a restaurant for lunch after your exploration on the beach.
Bring water and sunscreen! You will be in the sun on the beach for approximately 1.5 – 2 hours. Meet at South Brohard Park, 1900 Harbor Drive S. Venice.
NOTE: Minimum age allowed is 5 yrs. old. Any youth under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult 18 years old or older at all times who will also assume all responsibility for his/her safety. **Please note that all tours require a minimum of 4 people. This does not mean one party must book 4 individuals, but that our total headcount achieves the minimum. We will notify you if we have not reached this capacity and will always strive to accommodate our valued guests!
Shells can be sharp and terrain uneven; closed-toe shoes or sturdy sandals protect your feet while searching.
Expect 1.5-2 hours on open beach in the sun; stay hydrated and protected from UV rays.
Tour involves walking on sandy and shelly beach areas, so moderate mobility is required.
Tide conditions affect the abundance of exposed shark teeth; check local tide charts for optimal trip timing.
