Operated by Gorilla Adventures Bali · Ubud, Bali
Morning light cuts through the palms as your guide starts the engine and the rice terraces blur into a ribbon of green—this is Ubud by throttle and paddle. The day pairs a 250cc ATV circuit that charges through muddy jungle tracks and into the so-called Gorilla Cave, where an underground waterfall and slick rock corridors give the ride a wild, close-to-nature edge.

The combined program runs about seven hours door-to-door, with roughly 90 minutes of ATV time and two hours of rafting included.
No—professional instructors lead both sections; basic fitness and the ability to follow safety instructions are required.
Policies vary by operator; age and weight restrictions are commonly enforced—check when booking and disclose ages for safety and equipment sizing.
Rafting can continue in light rain and may be more intense in the wet season; operators may reschedule or adjust runs if conditions are unsafe.
Ayung River has long supported local rice irrigation and temple life; hand-carved stone reliefs along its banks reflect Balinese artisanship tied to riverine temples.
Choose operators who practice river cleanup and limit group sizes; avoid single-use plastics and never feed wildlife to reduce human-wildlife conflicts.
