Ever Wilder LLC is an experiential education provider based in Ellijay, Georgia, offering hands-on workshops and guided hikes focused on Appalachian skills, wild foods, and medicinal plants. Programs span short workshops and full-day outings that teach practical techniques such as basket-making (Tulip Bark Basket), friction fire with the hand drill, and nut processing (Nuts About Nuts!). Foraging and fungi identification are offered with experienced local guides — notably the Mushroom Hike led by Anne-Marie, “The Forager Chick,” at Storybrook Acres in Mineral Bluff, GA. Other offerings include plant-use walks (Useful Plants Hike - Herb Walk), family-oriented tracking and trapping, passionflower cultivation and uses, U-Pick apothecary harvesting, and hands-on science for teens (Micro & Macro Organisms for Teens). Many Ever Wilder experiences are workshop-based and intentionally small-group to emphasize hands-on practice, safety, and direct instruction. Participants often leave with a physical creation or prepared materials — for example, a handcrafted basket, a friction-fire kit, dried herbs and seeds, or specialty nut flours. Ever Wilder LLC operates in the southern Appalachian region and uses local sites and seasonal harvests to provide context-rich learning. All descriptions and schedules reference specific trips and locations; interested participants should consult The Adventure Collective listing or the business directly for current availability, exact meeting locations, and registration details.
