You step out of Ulaanbaatar’s gray grid into a widening valley where wind shapes grass and stone; the city’s hum fades and the slopes of Terelj National Park take over. On the first morning you climb or drive up Zaisan Hill for a wide view of the capital, then follow a short trail to Arya Bala Meditation Temple, where the air feels cooler and conversations slow.
