Enjoy historic & boutique wineries set in stunning landscapes
7-8 hours
Our shuttle will deliver you straight into the beautiful Upper Moutere area. Originally settled by German families in the 1850's the region is scattered with olive groves, fruit orchards, historic buildings and gorgeous boutique wineries.
We will work with you to plan a personalised route around the Moutere area. Gravity, Heaphy, Moutere Hills and Neudorf are some of our favourite wineries and perfect places to enjoy fine wine, tasty platters and stunning views.
Choose to peruse a historic Settler's cottage, art galleries or a Buddhist temple before enjoying a hearty meal and a pint at New Zealand’s oldest pub, the Moutere Inn. Many people book a fine dining experience at Moutere Hills Restaurant, before the shuttle back to sunny Nelson with a few bottles of their favourite wines.
The tour covers rolling hills—e-bikes help manage climbs comfortably and keep the ride enjoyable.
Carry water and sunscreen, as much of the route is exposed to sun with limited shade.
Reserve winery tastings and dining options in advance, especially during peak seasons to ensure availability.
Dress in layers and wear padded shorts for comfort on country roads over several hours.
