About

Come snorkel with our team of marine biologists in the beautiful Marine Protected Area of La Jolla Shores. During the Spring, we aim at finding you some sevengill sharks, prehistoric-looking sharks from the Jurassic period; while during the summer months, our leopard shark locals steal the show! Learn about these misunderstood species and any other of our local animals that we might see, including sea lions, various fish, possible dolphins, and even sea turtles! The locals call this spot Turtle Town, because our resident sea turtles are here year round, munching on algae.

Please note:

  • Bring your own sunscreen and towel.
  • We will not go out if it has rained within 48 hours.
  • Snorkel gear can be rented for an additional $15, but you must have your own wetsuit for this tour; we recommend a 3mm wetsuit, and snorkel experience is preferred.
  • You must be able to snorkel for up to 1.5 hours. We will have one buoy on hand if anyone needs assistance.
