You step off the van and the jungle takes a breath around you — heat and green pressing close, the low hum of insects and the distant slap of water in a sinkhole. Guides in harnesses check lines while a local shaman prepares a brief Mayan ceremony under the trees; then you’re strapped into an ATV and the morning collapses into motion.
moderate.
6 hours.
Moderate fitness—able to handle short hikes, stairs into a cenote, and hours of standing; strength for brief rappels and ATV handling helps.
The full experience is about six hours and typically includes round-trip transport from Tulum-area pickup points or meeting locations.
Infants cannot take part in activities; some attractions have minimum ages—ATV drivers must be 16 with a permit and children may be restricted from certain ziplines for safety.
Yes—lifejackets for the cenote and certified harnesses and helmets for ziplines and rappels are provided and professionally inspected.
Ziplines generally have a maximum weight of around 110 kg; ATVs usually allow two adults and may charge for solo use when numbers are uneven.
Cenotes are collapsed limestone sinkholes formed over millennia; in Maya culture they were freshwater sources and often held ritual significance.
Visitors should use biodegradable sunscreen, avoid soaps in cenote water, and follow park rules to minimize erosion and disturbance to flora and fauna.
Travelity Experiences operates guided outdoor trips and adventures with an emphasis on safety, stewardship, and memorable experiences.
