About the tour

How were shoes made in the past? What were they like? What shoes were worn by famous Slovenians? How did a town known for its wealth of crafts become Slovenia’s most important shoemaking centre? Interesting stories are provided by the exhibitions of the Tržič museum, where you can also see a shoemaker at work. Visit the oldest house in the city; in the friendly atmosphere of the Kurnik House, you can try making the “tržiška flika” bread by baking it in the bread oven of a traditional kitchen. Pork delicacies, local eco beer, fruit juice, and apple juice go great with it.
