Try Pistol and Rifle Combo: Beginner Indoor Shooting in Auburn, NSW

On the outskirts of Sydney in Auburn, New South Wales, Try Shooting Pistol and Rifle Combo offers a direct, no-nonsense introduction to recreational target shooting in a safe indoor range. Designed for first-time shooters and small groups, the experience combines hands-on instruction with the low-recoil .22LR pistol and .22LR rifle, fifty rounds of ammunition, and full safety equipment including hearing and eye protection. The session opens with a focused safety briefing led by experienced range staff, then moves participants to reinforced firing lanes with acoustic baffles, target retrieval systems, and certified bullet traps. The physical features of the range, the solid firing line, lane dividers, ventilation and backstop, are as much a part of the visit as the targets themselves, creating a controlled environment where you can learn sight alignment, trigger control, and basic marksmanship without distraction. Minimum age is twelve, and group sizes are kept to one to four people to ensure individualized coaching. What makes this package stand out in Auburn’s offerings is its simplicity and accessibility. Unlike outdoor shooting clubs that demand memberships or extensive prep, this is drop-in friendly: the combination of pistol and rifle in a single session lets you compare stances and techniques in real time. For visitors to Sydney’s western suburbs looking for a compact, weather-proof activity, it’s an easy add-on between visits to Auburn Botanic Gardens or nearby Parramatta Park. Practical logistics are straightforward but strict: all participants must present original valid identification (driver’s license, passport, or birth certificate), and an Australian P650 form must be completed on arrival. The center provides ammunition, basic protective gear, and lane time, so you only need enclosed footwear and the required identification. International visitors should bring their passport. The range staff enforce local firearms regulations and safety protocols consistent with Australia’s post-1996 National Firearms Agreement, so expect thorough checks and clear instruction. Whether you’re crossing a unique activity off your list, celebrating a birthday, or just curious, the Try Shooting Pistol & Rifle Combo is an efficient way to learn the basics in a monitored setting. It’s not a place for raw bravado; it’s a place to build competence under supervision, understand responsible firearm use, and leave with a tangible new skill. For urban adventurers wanting a disciplined, hands-on experience close to the city, this package is a practical, memorable option. Bookings are made online through the center’s booking portal, and sessions run at scheduled intervals to keep lane numbers low. Expect one hour per session, with optional extra rounds available for purchase. Bring original ID, closed shoes, and a readiness to follow direction. Located in Auburn, New South Wales, Australia, this compact indoor range offers an efficient introduction to target shooting for curious travelers.
