Operated by puckie · Assisi, Umbria
Morning light spills across the rolling Umbrian hills as a pair of trained dogs nose into leaf litter, ears alert and tails a metronome of excitement. In this private two‑hour outing around Assisi, participants follow paths through mixed oak woods, open pasture and riverine glades while handlers demonstrate how scent, soil and dog work combine to reveal truffles — the famous "black gold" of central Italy.
