The new mountain biking tour at Hotel Hacienda Guachipelín at the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano travels on singletrack trails on three different routes that can satisfy all levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Expert. Hacienda Guachipelín keeps 30 kilometers of trails and singletrack trails under the shade, with incredible views - the only trails for mountain biking in Costa Rica in an active volcano! The altitude makes this area cooler than the trails located in the coastal area.
All of these exciting adventure mountain biking trips in Costa Rica start at the same point, driving on single track trails through the forest along a river. We start at 500 meters of altitude. These trails with excellent shade, keep it cool and being surrounded by nature gives you ample opportunities to see wild animals such as monkeys, capuchin monkeys (or white-faced), coatis, armadillos, and peacocks.
Our route takes you to La Oropéndola Waterfall, where you can go for a dip. Then continue on the path in the tropical forest bordering the Rincon de la Vieja National Park, crossing several bridges, some over rivers, back to Hotel Hacienda Guachipelín.
Hacienda Guachipelín uses only high-quality mountain bikes and offers both front suspension and dual suspension bikes.
