Night in Arctic air has a clarity that sharpens every breath. On this VIP Aurora tour out of Tromsø, guests leave the town lights behind, gathering around a wind-sheltered campfire while the guide reads the sky for green bands. Thermal suits, high-visibility jackets and headtorches are provided; a professional photographer captures long-exposure portraits while hot soup and local snacks warm cold fingers.
