A low sun cuts across fjord glass as a black 4x4 eases off the coastal road and into wind-scoured tundra. You step out into a cold hush: gulls wheel over the water, cliff faces flare bronze, and the guide points to a distant ridge that will be the day’s outlook. The first steps are short — 500–1,000 m of uneven, often snowy trail — but each bend opens wider views of Kvaløya or the Tromsø mainland.
