The path opens into a raw, high-mountain daylight — wind sharpening the scent of wet stone and heather as you gain the plateau above Ringedalsvatnet. On the first evening the cliff’s edge keeps its own hours: you arrive as most day-trippers are gone, the rock looming flat and defiant, the lake far below reflecting a hard northern light.

The route from Mågeli parking to Trolltunga and back is roughly 22 km round-trip with about 800–900 m of ascent; guides typically split it over two days.
