Adventure tips

Layer for quick weather shiftsBring a windproof layer and a warm mid-layer—conditions can change rapidly above the valley even on otherwise mild days.

Stroller-friendly but check the routeMost paths are suitable for strollers but expect a few short stairs or uneven sections near viewpoints—use a sturdy, all-terrain stroller if needed.

Hydrate and snackCarry water and snacks for kids; there are limited cafes on the higher routes and the tour moves at a steady family pace.

Morning for best lightSchedule the walk in morning hours for clearer vistas and reduced haze across the valley.

Recommended gear

Sturdy walking shoes: Grip and ankle support on short dirt sections and village steps.
Windproof jacket: Protects against sudden gusts on exposed observation points.
Water bottle: Keeps kids and adults hydrated—there are few refill points during the route.
Sunscreen and sunglasses: Sun can be strong at elevation even when temperatures are cool.
