Winona, Mississippi, may be best known for its roots in blues music and small-town charm, but venture just a bit off the main roads to Old Mountain Outdoor Adventures at 90 Old Mountain Road, and you’ll uncover a distinct playground suspended in the branches. The Treetop Birthday Package here transforms any ordinary celebration into a two-hour adrenaline-charged event among towering hardwoods, where laughter and the zip of harnesses blend with the rustle of leaves.
This unique aerial obstacle course called Treetop Venture offers up to three levels of challenges crafted to test balance, agility, and courage. With elevated platforms, wobbly bridges, and multiple zip lines, kids and adults aged seven and up can navigate a hands-on adventure that functions as both physical exercise and thrill ride. The course’s setting amid mature forest gives participants glimpses of native flora and fauna native to northern Mississippi’s woodlands—oak, hickory, and pine create a shady canopy supporting squirrels and songbirds.
The Treetop Birthday Package caters to groups of up to 10 guests, providing a reserved picnic table nearby for those special post-adventure moments. Guests can bring their own food, store cakes and cupcakes in a climate-controlled space until ready, and keep the party carefree with gloves provided for all adventurers. The emphasis on safety shows, from mandatory closed-toe shoes to waiver signing and guided orientation before hitting the course.
Old Mountain Outdoor Adventures is more than a local attraction—it’s an active part of the Winona outdoor recreation community, offering a healthy mix of physical challenge, family-friendly celebration, and nature immersion.
