Tree Town Standup Showcase brings sharp, regional standup to Hear.Say, a microbrewery performance room in Ann Arbor, Michigan. For 90 minutes you sit inches from performers in a 55-seat back-theater that trades the distance of large clubs for an all-in comedy experience. The format pairs six hand-picked comedians — local and Midwest touring acts — with a rotating headliner, and the set list moves fast: short opening bits, a string of tight sets, and a headliner that ties the night together.
The venue is part taproom, part low-lit theater: long rows of taps greet you at the front bar, then a narrow stair leads to the enclosed showroom where laughter becomes communal and immediate. Key features are the small capacity theater, the close-up sightlines, and the brewery’s taps that keep local craft beer on draft. That combination makes this a singular night out in Ann Arbor’s lively arts-and-restaurant district; it’s entertainment designed to fit into a single evening after dinner while still feeling like an event long enough to matter.
Unique local touches ripple through the experience. The lineup emphasizes Midwest voices—storytelling and observational sets that riff on working-life rhythms, college-town quirks, and Detroit-to-Michigan sensibilities. The microbrewery setting adds a social layer: after the show the taproom becomes the debrief space where performers and audience mingle over pints. The theater seats just 55, so performers can land nuanced callbacks and you’ll get the kind of laugh moments that larger rooms bury.
Practical notes: doors and check-in open around 8:30–9:00 PM with the show running approximately 90 minutes; general admission seating begins shortly before showtime. The event is strictly 18+; bring your FareHarbor QR code for quick entry and plan to order drinks at the front taproom bar. There is no provided meeting point or operator contact in the listing information.
