Start your tour by the Tiber river and get ready to chart a fascinating course through the centuries discovering ancient underground sites unknown to the most and walking the most picturesque streets far from the crowds.

Visit the medieval Basilica of Saint Crisogono, built on the remains of a 5th-century one. Marvel at the apse made by Bernini and discover a hidden archeological treasure in the underground remains of the original church. See the old crypt and admire the ancient frescoes.

Then visit the beautiful 12th-century Church of Santa Cecilia and go beneath its surface into its impressive undergrounds. Here, discover a 3rd-century Roman Domus and the 5th-century basilica on top of which stands the actual one. Be amazed by the ancient mosaics and frescoes.
