Itinerary

1 - Fly to Manila, Philippines

Your tour begins when your flight arrives at Manila Airport and we have a quick briefing then an early night.

2 - Intramuros

You cannot understand Filipino culture until you understand one man, Jose Rizal. Lover,Liberator, Artist, Painter, Poet. We head to Intramuros walled city on a bamboo bike to understand Jose Rizal's struggle to liberate his people from 333 years of Spanish rule. These bamboo bikes create jobs and are made in the Tarlac Gawad Kalinga village. Afternoon flight to Legazpi, home of Majestic Mayon Volcano.

3 - Start Medical Clinic

This morning we start our primary care clinic, by liaising with local health department and workers.

4 Medical Clinic continues

In the afternoons we go to local tourism hotspots to enjoy the beautiful scenery, reflect on our experience and taste the local delicacies. Or chill out in the hotel pool.

5- - Spectacular Cagsawa Ruins & Majestic Mount Mayon

Majestic Mayon towers over the landscape of Legapzi. She is smouldering and captivating. The Cagsawa Ruins are the remnants of a 16th-century Franciscan church destroyed by the lava of Mayon volcano in 1814. We then take a 360 degree tour of Mayon that will take your breath away and finish with dinner at SumLang Lake.

6 - Medical Clinic Day 3

By now you should be very familiar with our clinic set up and enjoying the satisfaction of knowing you are helping someone who can never repay you.

7 - Medical Clinic Day 4

Today is a time to celebrate and take lots of photos. An amazing race around the GK Village is the icing on the cake.

8 and 9 - Rest and recreation

The Albay and Sorsogon region has stunning natural beauty. We venture out to experience this raw beauty as well as plenty of time to stop and relax and reflect on our journey.
