The day begins on a coastal road that tightens and climbs like a handrail, the Tramuntana cliffs leaning in to watch you pass. Salt-scented wind pushes the boat out from Sa Calobra while the canyon of Torrent de Pareis glares its raw limestone walls—stone that has been sculpted by water and time into clefts and bowls. From the sea you’ll see the mountains as a lineup of stern guardians; from the tram you’ll sense villages that grew up around citrus and trade.
