Wear sturdy, waterproof shoes

Trails in Mossman Gorge can be slippery and uneven; waterproof shoes enhance comfort and safety.

Bring swimwear and towel

Pack swimwear for a dip in crystal-clear rainforest streams—conditions permitting after seasonal rains.

Apply insect repellent

The rainforest hosts mosquitoes and sand flies; repellent will improve your comfort on walks and boat cruises.

Use sun protection

Although shaded, some key stops like Alexandra Lookout are exposed—hat and sunscreen are important.
