The tour meets in the Distillery District by the large red heart sculpture just east of Parliament Street.
The Distillery District began as Gooderham and Worts distillery in 1832; the Toronto Islands were shaped by post‑glacial lake currents and later developed as recreational spaces in the 19th and 20th centuries.
The islands are protected parkland with community stewardship; stick to marked paths and take all waste back to the city to reduce impacts on nesting birds and fragile shoreline vegetation.
Pedal Toronto Incorporated operates guided outdoor trips and adventures with an emphasis on safety, stewardship, and memorable experiences.
