Enjoy breathtaking bi-coastal views of Maui and nearby islands, capture stunning photos, and choose between a serene glide or exhilarating maneuvers. No experience needed—just run and fly like a bird!

Fly tandem with one of our USHPA certified instructors. No experience necessary!

To fly tandem you must be at least 14 years old, physically able to run, and weigh less than approximately 250 lbs. If you weigh more than 250 lbs please call us so we can talk with you about how to get you flying.

About

We drive from our meeting area up the side of Mount Haleakala through pasture land and the Haleakala Watershed Preserve forest to our Ferns launch at 6,500 feet elevation. After launching you will have spectacular bi-coastal views of Maui’s central valley and may be able to see three other Hawaiian islands in the distance. There will be plenty of time for you to take photos and videos with your own phone or small camera. Your instructor will also take inflight photos (included for no extra charge) and give them to you after landing. There will be plenty of altitude for your instructor to smoothly fly you all around the sky and plenty of altitude for those that want a more adrenaline filled flight to experience some high G ‘roller coaster’ maneuvers. Whatever you choose will be the flight plan.

Highlights

  • No jumping off a cliff!
  • Just run down the hill and fly like a bird!
  • No motors! No noise!
  • All the fun you can handle!

Adventure Tips

Wear sturdy shoes with grip

Launch requires a short run down grassy slopes, so closed-toe shoes with good traction are essential.

Charge your camera or phone

In-flight photos are highlights—make sure your devices are ready to capture breathtaking views above Maui.
