About

This paddle leaves from Miller's Landing on Lowell Point. Paddlers kayak to Tonsina Creek and view the beautiful ghost forest remains of the 1964 Alaskan Earthquake. If you're around later in the summer you're able to view colorful salmon spawning in Tonsina Creek and eagles lurking nearby, awating a tasty treat.


Itinerary

Tonsina Beach Paddle (8:30AM, 5:30PM)

A. 8:00AM/5:00PM check in to office for parking pass and to sign necessary forms B. 8:30AM/5:30PM meet guide, get outfitted for paddle C. 8:45AM/5:45PM warm up exercises, safety briefing D. 8:55AM/5:55PM depart for paddle E. Paddle to the beach, land (if weather permitted) and explore F. Depart for Miller’s Landing


Please Note: All clients will paddle tandem kayaks unless otherwise discussed with the guide preceding the trip. This paddle is appropriate for children ages six and over. Paddle is approximately 2.5-3 hours in length. No experience necessary.
