Adventure Tips

Arrive Early for Briefing

Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled trip to complete safety orientation and gear fitting.

Wear a Swimsuit Underneath

You’ll be issued a wetsuit and spray jacket, but a swimsuit underneath ensures comfort and quick drying post-trip.

Expect Variable Water Temperatures

The Tongariro’s waters stay cold year-round; layered thermal wear beneath your wetsuit helps on cooler days.

Bring a Towel and Dry Clothes

Post-rafting, you’ll want warm, dry gear to change into, especially if you plan to visit the Tokaanu Hot Pools afterward.
