Tivoli’s two most visited sights are the magnificent and historical Hadrian's Villa and fascinating and romantic Villa d'Este. Both sights are UNESCO's heritage sites. You will meet your guide at centrally located meeting point in Rome and proceed with air-conditioned coach to Hadrian’s Villa for a guided walking tour. This villa belonged to the 2nd-century Emperor Hadrian, and it was used as a summer residence. With the help of your guide you will explore the archaeological ruins of Hadrian’s Villa with it's wide complex of temples, statues, theatres, thermal baths and much more.
After visiting Hadrian's Villa, you will proceed by coach near Villa d'Este where you will enjoy a delicious lunch in a characteristic restaurant. From there you will proceed with your guide through romantic Villa d’Este. Today this former Benedictine convent is one of the most fascinating villas of the late Renaissance period. You will admire the famous Fountain of Neptune and walk through the villa’s stunning gardens and marvel it's impressive waterfalls, pools and numerous fountains!
