Time Machine route on Mt. Arrowsmith offers a thrilling, sustained climb with diverse and dramatic pitches, making it a standout adventure for seasoned climbers. Beginning above a scenic alpine meadow, the climb traverses steep walls, challenging overhangs, and an exciting layback crack, all culminating in breathtaking views from high on the mountain. With dynamic 5.9 and 5.10 sections, including airy roofs and a classic chimney, Time Machine promises an unforgettable experience on one of Vancouver Island’s most iconic peaks.

Intermediate: For climbers with some experience, this level includes more technical climbs with steeper terrain, moderate endurance, and difficulty. You should be comfortable with top-rope climbing and able to handle more challenging routes. Grade: Indoor routes: 5.8-5.10a (YDS) Focus: Intermediate climbing techniques and endurance Example: Top-rope climbing on moderately difficult routes, multi-pitch climbs on less challenging terrain Fitness Level: Moderate, with the ability to hike up a steep trail to the base of the route. Experience Level: Some previous multi-pitch experience required
