About This Adventure

Duration: 90 minutes

About

The delightful village of Tighnabruaich sits on the Cowal peninsula overlooking the Isle of Bute. Its name translates as ‘house on the hill’ and it appears well named with an array of Victorian mansion dotting its shore line. The area is an area of outstanding natural beauty with its sheltered waters attracting a wide variaty of sealife. We have a short stop off at Tighnabruich where you can enjoy a coffee or teas at one of the little cafes and bistros in the village.

Your trip will take you across Rothesay bay, heading past Port Bannatyne before passing Colintraive and through the magical Kyles of Bute. The Northern end of Bute is marked by several pretty islands that sit at the mouth of Loch Ridden. Tighnabruaich itself sits on a long stretch that links it with the village of Kames and both are popular with yachts using its sheltered waters to moor and enjoy the area. Keep your eyes peeled for eider ducks, oystercatchers, herons, seals, porpoise and the elusive sea otter.

Please note that all trips are subject to having enough numbers/passengers.
