You ascend before the mountain reveals itself: a cable car pulls away from the valley, threading over rice plots and steep forested slopes until the world dissolves into cloud. The ride—one of the world’s longest—drops you at a high plateau where sheer cliffs and a cliff-cut walkway demand attention and steady footing.
