About This Adventure

Embark on a thrilling 3-hour snowmobile safari through a stunning winter landscape, guided by an expert. Experience the magic of snow-covered forests and fells, then relax at a cozy cottage with a campfire coffee break, enriched by fascinating stories about the local environment. Adventure awaits in Saariselkä!

Duration: 3 hours

You will meet your experienced guide at our safari house, where you receive driving equipment. After a safety briefing and instructions, we are ready to hit the trail. The route takes you through a winter wonderland, where you'll witness the breathtaking beauty of snow-covered forests and fells.

We will drive towards north of Saariselkä to our hideaway cottage, its time for our well-deserved break. Your guide will make a campfire for coffee, while share interesting facts and stories about the local environment with you.

  • pick-up service around Saariselkä (if distance to the safari office is over 1 km) and return transfer after the safari
  • third party motor insurance: the driver of the snowmobile has to be at least 18 years of age with a valid driving licence
  • program as described prevailing weather and snow conditions

Children on snowmobile safaris

  • Children under 140 cm sit in sleighs due to safety measures
  • Children under 6 year old sitting in sleighs must be accompanied by an adult or an older sibling
  • Children over 140 cm tall can sit as passengers on a snowmobile driven by the adult
  • Sleighs are always pulled by the guide's snowmobile

Attention: pick-up NOT included in Kakslauttanen - Kiilopää area (meeting point at safari office in address Honkapolku 1)

  • snowmobile safaris are subject to change due to weather conditions
  • the driver of the snowmobile is held liable for damages caused to the vehicle. The personal liability (excess) is a maximum of 1200 € per snowmobile and per accident.
  • snowmobiles are insured as required by The Finnish Traffic Insurance Act - this insurance covers medical care for injuries to the driver and the passenger arising from accidents
  • Personal injuries and damages to third parties are fully covered according to The Finnish Traffic Insurance Act.
  • We reserve the right to change the routing and duration of all excursions or cancel trips if necessary according to the prevailing weather and snow conditions, or if recommended for the safety and comfort of the participants.
