About

  • The Three Sisters are the granite batholith domes above Evergreen Lake in Alderfer Three Sisters Open Space Park. The half day exciting adventure is a moderate hike with easy rock scrambling, roped climbing, and ending with a small summit climb or optional rappel descent off of the South Sister.
  • There are great views of Evergreen, Mt. Evans and the surrounding peaks. Day generally takes four hours. Fun stuff! Three clients maximum for this adventure.

EWG will provide:

  • Harnesses
  • Helmets
  • All related equipment

What to wear/What to bring:

  • Hiking shoes/sneakers are recommended
  • Clients must wear sneakers, tennis shoes or any closed toed shoe. (No sandals, flip-flops or crocs. Open shoes are more susceptible to injury on rock terrain.)
  • Please bring at least 32 ounces of water per person and snacks for the day. We burn a lot of calories at altitude.
  • A backpack for your own water, snacks, sunscreen, camera and space for extra layers since the daily temperatures will greatly vary. It is better to have clothes to put on than none at all if the temperature drops.

What are the requirements for climbing and rappelling courses?

  • Clients need a waist size between 22-45 inches to fit in harnesses and weigh at least 45 lbs.
  • Children need to be 8 years or older and accompanied by an adult.
