You step out of your Guangzhou hotel before dawn and the highway takes you north, the city skylines shrinking as karst-like ridges and red sandstone cliffs rise ahead. On day one the trail into Gulong Canyon opens with the rush of multiple falls — the Nine-waterfall threads down rock into jade pools — then the route turns toward the hair-raising glass features: a 520 m glass walkway, a 329 m glass bridge and the 202 m Glass UFO platform suspended roughly 72 m over the canyon. Nature here dares you to look down and keeps rewarding you for looking up.

Suitable for most travelers who can walk 2–4 miles across varied terrain and stair sections; minimal sustained climbs unless choosing to hike to Zhanglao Peak.
Expect roughly 1.5–3 hours of private driving between Guangzhou, Gulong Canyon, Yingxi Peak Corridor and Mount Danxia depending on traffic.
The glass structures are engineered and monitored; however, they are exposed and may be uncomfortable for those with acrophobia — cable cars or lower viewpoints are alternatives.
