Explore one of the most “user-friendly” and beautiful glaciers in Alaska, where you can choose between spending the day hiking across the glacier or climbing on its vertical walls! Explore the old mining town of Kennecott with a highly trained interpretive guide who will bring the history to light, along with explaining details of the fascinating mining process from the early 20th century.
Raft down the splashy and fast Class II Kennicott River, enjoy a multi-course lunch on a riverside sand-bar, then wind your way through the spectacular Class III Nizina Canyon before being picked up on the river bank by a bush plane for a breath-taking flight home over the rivers and glaciers of the Kennicott Valley.
