About

An evening tour, discovering an unusual and mysterious Florence, among the history andlegend, myths and art, finishing with a good glass of Chianti.

Programme The tour starts from the SS. Annunziata Square where besides the monuments it is possible to witness curious things, mixed with story and legend, tied to the Medici family and its successors who guided the city.

Then continuing on to the Cathedral Square where you enter into the heart of the medieval city, after arriving at the Pagliazza Tower; you reach the Republic Square and then Strozzi Street, where at the corner of the Vecchietti Street, you will meet the Giambologna Devil, a small bronze statue.

Continuing on to the Borgo SS. Apostoli you reach the Loggia of the New Market of Florence, called the Porcellino – Little Piglet after the in bronze statue which decorates it: here in the Renaissance it was the place of the ‘Acculata’ – buttock smacking, the public penalty to which bankrupts and forgers were submitted.

Continuing on to the Ponte Vecchio we reach the end of the tour in the Santo Spirito Square where we stop in an old inn to taste good Chianti accompanied by a Tuscan snack.
