Starting from the iconic slate quarrying town of Blaenau Ffestiniog, this service follows the path of the old slate trains as they transported their loaded wagons down the Vale of Ffestiniog to the harbour at Porthmadog.

Journey

  • Journey duration – approx. 5 hours including break at Porthmadog to explore the bustling coastal town and enjoy lunch and a drink at Spooner’s Café-Bar (Harbour Station) before the train heads back up to Blaenau Ffestiniog.
