After nearly 40 years of quiet and calm Mauna Loa has awaken for just a short period of time. The worlds largest active volcano stands over 13,000 feet. Listen to the current and past history on a ride to the flats at 6,000 feet where madame goddess Pele danced to the cold.

A small but steep ride up neighboring Mauna Kea to the visitors center will have you stopped in your tracks as the epic views take your breath away. But as the best is always last, don’t blink or you’ll miss the sunset that makes your whole trip.

Note: Individuals sensitive to elevation and Children below the age of 13 are not recommended to take this tour. Elevation sickness is a serious illness and may even be fatal. As a precaution, any water activities should not part-take for 48 hours before or after doing this tour.
